Virtual trip to Brazil
Again I have decided to trip, and my destination is Brazil. The first thing I did was to buy my tickets and reserve the hotel Orla Copacabana, in one of the most beautiful beaches: Rio de Janeiro. I planned to stay a week so I went there on December 16 and returned December 23. The cost for staying a week was from 1792 dollars.

I bought me tickets by internet; the cost was about 990 dollars in a trip from Mexico to Brazil. So on Wednesday 16 of Decemeber I went to the airport at 6:25 am, and took the plane. It was a long trip, but probably I didn´t realized it because I slept during the flight.
When I woke up we were on the International Airport of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After getting down of the plane and picked up my bags, a taxi came by, and got me to the hotel. When I got there I was amazed by the beautiful streets and smell of salt water. The hotel was between Avenida Atlantica, and the street R. Joaquim Mabuco. The hotel was amazing, with lots of pools and ocean view. A few minutes after I arrived a lady gave me the keys of my room, and guided me to it. A man helped me with my bags and we crossed many rooms until we got to my room. It was pretty amazing, with a kitchen, a bed, a mini pool inside the room, a big sofa, and an ocean view, with a bar, from which I took a candy, some soda, and nuts which cost 20 dollars. After all, I was really tired from the trip and for unpacking my bags so I rested that day.
The next morning I went to the reception of the hotel to ask about some activities that could be realized to have fun and also to know better Brazil.
The most interesting one was going to an adventure on the Amazon River. The rich of flora and fauna and opportunities to observe them are in the Amazon. We could travel by a bus called Brazilian Roads or by plane, but I decided by bus for its price, it cost 350 dollars the round trip. When there were 8 o clock the bus with other tourist started the trip. I can`t remember how long it was, but it wasn´t too tired. I was hearing music during the trip, but then suddenly I saw we were entering into some kind of jungle, until the bus stopped by an edge of the river. It was really hot when we arrived, but later winds came. I pay for several activities; the cost was of 345 dollars. I did many tings there, like running in the rapids, watch exclusive jaguars at night, but as we didn´t finish the activities, they offered us to sleep in a hotel, which price was 50 dollars. So then I slept there and I woke up very early in the morning, eat breakfast, which cost 30 dollars, and then prepared for the activities.
The next activity was one of the most amazing: swimming and taking photos with pink dolphins and searching the jungle for howler monkeys. I took about a hundred pictures from the animals and learned about their lives.

At noon they took us to a restaurant near the river named “The howling meal”, the cost was cheap, only 20 dollars for a delicious meal. Later in the afternoon we decided to return back to the hotel in Rio de Janeiro so we could get there at night, this was because they almost took us from the edge of Brazil up to the center, and we had to return, so the trip was going to be a little long.
The next day to learn about culture I went to the federal district of Brazil.
We woke up in the morning and prepared to go on the buses. During the trip the bus offered us a breakfast that included some cereals, and nuts, a sandwich and a juice for the price of 10 dollars, so I bought it.
When we arrived there we were able to go waddle around and visit the places we wanted to. I learned there that Brazil's capital was constructed between 1956 and 1960 on tropical savannah. It's has a modernist urban architecture. Also I was notified that the Cosmopolitan Brazil celebrates a series of festivals during the time I was there and that nearby there was the National Museum and National Library of the Republic.
The cost for this tour was of 100 dollars, with food included, and the round bus trip had a cost of 200 dollars.
The next day I was a little tired, but I wanted to know the famous Iguazu Falls. This was one expensive trip but it was really one of the most beautiful ones. The cost of the round trip with breakfast, food and dinner included was of 400 dollars.
The waterfalls of the Iguazu are located on the border of the Brazilian state, and in the edges of Paraná and Argentine.
The falls can be reached from the two main towns on either side of the falls: Foz do Iguaçu in the Brazilian state of Paraná, and Puerto Iguazú in the Argentine province of Misiones. I was of course in Paraná.
On the Brazilian side there is a long walkway along the canyon with an extension to the lower base of the Devil's Throat. From Foz d Iguacu the park can be reached by taxi, it cost 17 dollars, and it took me to the entrance of the park, where then I could go to see the falls.
I took many pictures, and as the fall area provides opportunities for water sports and rock climbing, I decided to do rock climbing, and I pay for it 60 dollars. At the beginning I didn´t wanted to continue climbing, but then I was able to do it just fine.
Then after I finished the climbing, and had eaten the meal, I went again where the buses where and waited until everybody came, and then we returned to the hotel. In the trip to the hotel, we eat some chips, and a soda. When it was almost midnight we reached Rio de Janeiro.

I was almost at my 6th day in Brazil so I decided to do something that I liked very much: shopping. The hotel recommended the Barrashopping, is a place in Rio de Janeiro with more than 600 stores, and it was located in the Av. Américas, 4666 - Barra da Tijuca. At a store inside it named Galleria River there is a dozen stores for surfers and skaters, and lots of souvenirs. I bought there: gifts for my family and clothing. I spend there about 700 dollars.

For the last day I spend my time in the hotel, swimming and going to events in the beaches, where I bought some necklaces, bracelets, and some beautiful seashells, all of this with a cost of 40 dollars. Also at nights in the beaches natives of Brazil told us legends and stories about Brazil, and at the same time they played wind instruments to climate the setting.

And in the night I went to dinner in the restaurant in the hotel. I eat hotcakes, fruit, chilaquiles, and some orange juice, which had a price of 30 dollars. Then I went up stairs and packed up my bags. The next day I went to the airport and payed the ticket to return to mexico for a price of 950 dollars.
I enjoyed going to Brazil, I meet new cultures, and new beautiful places. I hope that soon, maybe in summer I could return.
